People generally view Socialism in cost to pay for it, The real problem is that there is a equal or greater cost involved with the loss of liberty. We should never willing to sacrifice our liberty's for Socialism, ever.

The U.S. is already socialist in many respects -- medicare, medicaid, social security, food stamps, welfare, obamacare, corporate bailouts, covid-19 payments, public education, public transportation, fire departments, police departments, public libraries, U.S. military, roads and highways, public prisons and jails, VA, public universities, public parks, public toilets, public drinking fountains, public parking.
All of these could be done away with and let private companies run them. That would lower our taxes! Of course, we'd still have to pay then based on how much we use each one.

But actually thask, what "this" is NOT...is someone offended by the violation of US flag laws. 
What it is, is the process I talked about on here for YEARS now...the slow elimination of the US Flag...period. It will be labeled just as racist and offensive as the Confederate Flag. You guys laughed at me way back then...continue to laugh at me today...but every few weeks, we see a story that confirms the sustained march towards exactly that.

OF COURSE...why hadn't I thought of this before? There is a movement afoot to "eliminate the US Flag"...and leave this country as the only one in the entire world without a nation's most widely recognized national symbol. It seems so logical now that you've explained it to me.
