Was strong in the stretch.
Baffert and a few other trainers are hot, and have some potential rivals, but he's earned the #1 spot.

I've heard it said many times that it's easier to get to #1 than it is to stay there. In a way Tiz did both yesterday. Now we we see if he can stay there for the long haul. It's my opinion there were other horses in that race that could have made things much more difficult for him at the end but for being blocked in the stretch by lesser horses. But they didn't and he did. Anyone who wants to take that away from him will have to do it another day. He deserves his spot on top of the hill.

Tiz looked solid. Final 3/8th decent but not lighting it up at ~38.06. Would like to see that a few lengths faster but he was in hand the last 100 yards.

They have to run it; even if fans can’t be there in person.

The best part was the coverage at Pennells . It’s a great place to eat and I’ve known some of those people for decades. Nice folks , it’s unbelievable they found lightning in bottle twice now. Between them and Barkley it’s well deserved. If he brags on a horse it’s a good one. And that horse just won for fun yet again . You definitely don’t see that every day in this game. I wonder if the school bus will reappear. I’ve been rooting for them for months. Well done!

He gave him the Cigar ride, staying wide the whole way. Perfectly fine here, but I hope he thinks about saving some ground at Churchill.

Tiz the Law seems like a very good horse in a somewhat decimated division, but I think Honor AP may have more upside and could actually be better even now. I'm looking forward to that matchup.

That'll be the Battle of the Blazes... sound like something out of Game of Thrones.

Tiz visually looks like he has a stronger higher gear than AP but has had more races to hit his stride. AP looks like a horse that will just keep rolling however. Overall Equibase figures are stronger for Tiz but last out Brisnet approximately the same. Really does look like the Derby is theirs to lose. I'm probably shopping for underneath plays at this point.
