Let me 'splain this to you.
The constitution had no intent 4 years ago.
The constitution never has any intent.
It is a document that is the law of the land.
Don't believe me?
Here, let my friend Barack Obama try to 'splain it to you.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF. — President Obama on Tuesday vowed to nominate a Supreme Court associate justice who is "indisputably qualified for the seat," and he scoffed at Republican suggestions that the process should be halted until after the November presidential election and a new administration takes office.
"There’s no unwritten law that says it can only be done in off years," Obama said during a news conference here after the conclusion of a two-day summit with Southeast Asian leaders. "That’s not in the constitutional text. I’m amused when I hear people claim to be strict interpreters of the Constitution suddenly reading into it a whole series of provisions that are not there."

Hussein is amused when he wets his diaper. He only knew the Constitution enough to know how to trash it.

Funny how the OP here is all whinny about the repubs changing their positions from 2016 but has NO problem withe DEMS doing the EXACT SAME THING.
And the big thing pretty much EVERYONE is ignoring, is OBAMA and TRUMP both did the EXACT SAME THING......nominated a candidate. But this time, it is Trump destroying our institutions!
Bed-wetting Democrats......perfect description.

I am not in the military. But if I was...
The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) Article 90 states that military personnel need to obey the "lawful orders of his/her superior. The duty and obligation to obey lawful orders creates no grey area for discussion. The UCMJ actually protects the soldier in this situation as he/she has a moral and legal obligation to the Constitution and not to obey unlawful orders and the people who issue them.
He is not my "lawful commander". And a god damn moron to boot!.

I would not be surprised if history considers trump having been our biggest blunder, so long as history is not written by the likes of most pa members that posted to this thread.
as long as the constitution in open to interpretation, intent is meaning full.
we are what we all are.
however, in the trumpian world "E pluribus unum" has no meaning

Project much? It's the dimwits who are constantly dividing this country. White v. Black. Male v. Female. Biological Sex v. Identity Sex, etc. Divide and Conquer is their motto!

If writen by The Triggered... like you.
Honest historians... not the hysterical leftist... Will view President Trumps deeds and action in a favorable light. He will be placed higher then Obama on whatever scale is used, that I have no doubt.

So why won't Joe Hiden say who he would appoint to the court?
Simple, the same reason he will not put out any of the policies he is going to support. By not answering questions, it allows him to sell empty promises.
