He didn't bet the horse because it was 75/1, he bet it because it fit on handicapping criteria. He sticks to it, another one will get away from the crowd.

Tend to agree with this, as long as it applies to handicapping methods or systems. His way of handicapping just happened to find a horse that was really overlooked. Using the same system probably finds some favorites or low price horses also. No reason to disregard the result just because it paid big, that is what he is looking for.
