Looking Back: Yearbook Quotes
I find it hard to believe that it has been over 60 years since I graduated from high school. Occasionally, I take out my old high school yearbook and look at my classmates’ pictures and quotes. Below are some of the quotes they authored; others I found in other yearbooks:
“I Came, I Saw…And I Almost Didn’t Make It!”
“The Staircase to Success is a Difficult One, So Take the Escalator."
“Thanks to the Largess of the School Committee, I’ve Been Released from My Four-Year Sentence.”
“I’m Playing Monopoly and I’ve Just Drawn: ‘Get Out of Jail Free’.”
“And Now Is The Hour That We Must…Clean Out Our Lockers.”
“Yesterday is History, Tomorrow’s a Mystery, But Today… Today is a Gift. That’s Why We Call It: ‘The Present’.”
“If Idiots Could Fly, This Place Would Be An Airport.”
“I Don’t Always Graduate, but When I Do…It’s Barely!”
“I Spent 113,880 Hours of My Life for a Piece of Paper and a Handshake!”
