She's feeling ok but worn out, still in the hospital, getting an angiogram today.

Sounds like quite the trying ordeal, is a lot of it tied to side effects from drugs to prevent rejection? I would assume they must really lower the immune system.

She's been on those same type drugs for a while due to lupus. They are definitely part of it, her immune system is taking time to kick back in where it needs to be.

Hoping they get her drugs dialed in soon, it is a delicate balance between benefits and side effects, and it can be a trying process. I wish her well.

Realized it has been a while since I updated...
Well, about two weeks ago, the wound surgeon released Lindsay from his care, and a couple days later the transplant doctor said he didn't need to see her for four weeks. She is back looking great, putting weight on again after dropping down to about 100 lbs, and even working out again. The kidney is doing fabulous and life has basically returned to normal. It was a rough couple months with several hospital stays and a lot of pain and suffering, but at this point it was all worth it!
