I bought this "formula" mainly because I used to buy EVERYTHING that was handicapping-related, and also because I thought its author was the "Dr. Robert Anthony" who had also written various self-improvement books, including the wrongly overlooked book Betting On Yourself. The "Professional Formula" isn't worth the paper it's printed on, and if it was indeed created by the aforementioned self-help author...then the good doctor should be ashamed of himself.

here are the results of my 500 + race study
it shows a 1.14 to 1.15 return on the dollar
it also shows a win rate of 47 %
some of these races were posted on another thread in this forum

when the fav finishes 1st or finishes 2nd 55% of the time I win 45% of the time.
the min $1 return on my play must be >= 1/.45 = 2.22
ct this day. 8 races
won but 3 of the 8 rcace for 38%.
the 3 win $1 return were 2.81, 3.25 and 2.74, excellent
still produces a $1 for $1.10 for all 8 races.
this is a new project, using the same bet sizes.
