Give it a rest. Tom is the king of hyperbole and we all know it. Are you really that invested in Obama that you're offended that much?
Your side of the aisle made a feature length film about assasinating GW Bush. I bet you weren't up in arms about that........give it a rest

Since the stock market tries to predict the future, whether to be optimistic (bull) or pessimistic (bear), I have to agree Obama was responsible for the optimism. It is a future without Obama in office, in six months we would have a new President. Once the election was decided the Trump in and Obama out factor gave great optimism.
Jobs, I agree under Obama there was a great surge in barista jobs, burger flippers etc. More so than will be under the current President. Also, job numbers are pretty much manipulated by the current administration, so I don't put too much credence in the Obama's administration job numbers.

I have the same viewpoint as you do...been in metro NY almost all my life watching and reading about the man...
I don't quite see it the way you do, however.

The fact is he has always been a what I call an instinctive and compulsive liar. Just in the last couple days the General Pershing story, the story about his non-existent Virginia winery illustrate my point. These are not political stories, they are just made up stories that Trump uses to "sell" himself as having some point of contact with anything someone might mention.
In the business world he screwed people left and right. He got away with it most of the time because a whole lot of inherited wealth gave him the ability to wear-out the "little people" who all too often found it difficult to hang in for the long run and time and money it would take to win. One of the reasons why the Trumps had to start looking offshore for financing was because American banks finally caught on to Trump's shady games.
This past week Trump's discovered a sudden love of monuments and memorials and wants to save 'em all. Years ago when he was demolishing the old Bonwit Teller building in New York in contemplation of building Trump Tower, the Metropolitan Museum of Art wanted to preserve some sculptures built into the frontage of that building. Trump agreed. Then he betrayed his promise when he discovered that saving the sculptures might delay the overall demolition by two weeks. He destroyed the sculptures. But, he didn't use that as his total excuse. He later remarked "we had them appraised and found they weren't worth much." Even if that were true, it has nothing to do with the underlying idea of donating the statues to the museum. Their monetary value was immaterial. I can however, guarantee you he never did have them appraised. Just like he never really sent investigators to Hawaii to look into Obama's birth certificate. How do I know? Because if he did he would present the proof.
I don't know if it will ever happen, but my hope is that all you Trump groupies find a legitimate conservative to support who is smart, honest and will keep his or her words and doesn't have to lie each and ever day to sell his latest scam. You may like what he said in the campaign. You may still like what he says. But make no mistake, you are in bed with a character totally devoid of any ethical value. The man is a fraud.

I've been on vacation in DC most of the week...I'm way behind...there is such a thing as REPORT A POST if you need to get a moderator's attention in a hurry...that's what it's there for...
I'm going to sleep now...hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow, unless you want to direct me to it or let me keep guessing where it is...

DC?
Shoring up your network for a 2018 campaign?
Or a secret interview for a stint in the Trump Oval?
Ya got my vote!
Never been there on the ground, but flew in and out a couple of time. Awesome place to see from above, all the history in one great view....dittos NYC, flew in and out a few times, awesome place to see...Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, 5:00 traffic...
Not since 9/11....I am glad I got to see the Twin Towers. Against he night skyline....just a great memory.
People should quit their bitchin' and take the time to see the great place we are fortunate enough to call home.
