Sorry but can't blame Obama. North Korea went nuclear under GWBs watch.
Yes just ignore North Korea. They have a deterrent and want to talk. The only reason they wish to do that is to get something in return.
I have zero interest in giving them anything at all.

Ah okay so dear leader deflection... got it...
What version you running? #MAGA v1.2?
North Korea has wanted to talk for the past 15 years.
North Korea has a credible deterrent and now wants stuff for disarmament. Notably, reduced US presence in the region.
I'm just fine with letting them starve with their bombs. They can't eat them.

You are as obsessive as hcap - your desire to somehow be right all the time and "gotcha games" in your mind.......I can't understand how YOU are not in DC chairing the strategic meetings on this....oh, wait, on EVERYTHING!
All this insight and you still have time to dumpster dive old thread to put up imaginary points on your imaginary scoreboard. Well done, old chap!

Or not.

North Korea is reportedly criticizing talks with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, calling the two days of meetings that ended Saturday “regrettable.”
An unnamed spokesman for the North Korean Foreign Ministry in a statement accused the U.S. of unilaterally pressuring North Korea to denuclearize and “betraying the spirit” of the summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un last month, according to the Associated Press.
The statement said the discussions with Pompeo were “very concerning,” and suggested that the regime is no longer as willing to give up its nukes as it had previously been.

Perhaps Trump should fly a C-5 full of cash to North Korea.

Yay!
Whataboutism!
I'll be perfectly honest if a C5 full of cash got them to verifiably denuclearize I'd be all for it.
But then again I'm not the partisan you folks around here are...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo came away from a two-day visit to North Korea on Saturday without meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un or securing a breakthrough in efforts to implement the denuclearization agreement signed by Washington and Pyongyang in Singapore last month….[He said the talks] were “productive” and he claimed progress on “central issues” between the two longtime adversaries.
His rosy outlook was almost immediately rejected by North Korea’s foreign ministry, which called the U.S. attitude to the talks “regrettable” and accused the United States of making unilateral demands for denuclearization. Pompeo just hours earlier said the two sides engaged in “good-faith negotiations.”
.................................................. .....
I think the problem is......
"No, Pompeo did not give Kim a ‘Rocket Man’ CD, State Department says"
Maybe we could have saved 2 billion or so flown on that C-5
o Iran. Too bad Obama didn't think of that.
I guess not all presidents grasp all the subtleties of foreign policy and diplomacy?

KIM has not spoken yet.
It ain't over until the Fat Boy sings.
It is a process.
hcap, remember how you kept going on and on about how TRUMP could never win, and you posted polls and all that crap to convince us all?
That too was a process.
Remember how it played out in the end?

Of course this isn't going to fit some posters here agenda.....
I mean after all, Trump is just rolling over for N Korea...…
But wait... The US just did what? Based on what??
"The United States is asking the U.N. Security Council to order an immediate halt to all deliveries of refined oil products to North Korea after finding that Pyongyang had violated restrictions on those imports"
"The U.S. move at the United Nations came just days after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo traveled to Pyongyang to press for concrete steps by Kim Jong Un's regime to scrap its nuclear program."
Wait now, Im confused.....If Russia is one of the sellers of this petroleum to the North, and Trmup is supposedly colluding with Russia, why would Trump try to shut this down???
