Upstate NY sure feels nice

"I'm here guys. This is me, gettin' off my plane.

http://blog.timesunion.com/saratogas...-the-spa/5488/

Sure was good to leave Lou'ville and that 100 degree stall at Churchill. I feel better jus' steppin' out the door of this plane. That electric fan don't do a lotta good in my stall when its 100 degrees.

I'll see ya'll in the morning . . . ya better get up early though. I'm usually zippin' 'round the Oklahoma jus' for light. Its quiet then.

You guys know I can't say squat, and if orders come down the pike, neither can my trainer. Still, my fans'll keep y'all posted on my doings. They're as good to me as that big girl's are to her, out in SoCal."

Later,

Rach

I'll be by to visit in the next two weeks but don't get too attached to the mid 70's this week. It's supposed to be 90+ with humidity by your scheduled Monday morning workout. Make sure Scott gets you out by 6AM so there is time to cool down before the heat and humidity set back in.

She looks cool & calm coming out of the plane...she's been saying that Asmussen should put an air conditioner in her stall...and she wants a tall iced tea after her works...and that she IS worth it

I see JJ has two races he's thinking about...one month apart...so, I hope he opts for the Ruffian...I don't wanna have to wait til the end of Aug. to see her win again

The horse has freaky eyes. Sorry for all you fans, but her eyes really bug out so that is pretty much her normal look. Gets down right freaky looking when you see a closeup of her face when she is running.

"Sure is safe here in California. I feel better not flying over the Rockies. That mountain range is a tall order.

I thought the comments in the Times Union were very funny. Don't know which one I like best, Sarah Jessica Parker or the Detention Barn.

I remember back in the day....horses that showed the whites of their eyes were considered crazy...difficult to deal with...and some were! I really don't care for an eye like that....it's the only thing I don't like about Rachel...although, in that photo coming off the plane, even with the white, her eye looks kind.

Joanie, I agree. She does look kind. I've always thought her extremely intelligent and curious. Those eyes wide open--catching everything going on around her.

I'd rather see that white around her eyes than see them dull. I'd rather deal with high strung and a tad unpredictable than listless or lacking effort.
There are men and women here who would probably say this same thing about their spouse?

Anyone catch the short video in the margin about Cabin Creek?
That's the northern division of "Old Friends".....

Agreed...the eye can say so much...and one can sorta get lost looking into an equine eye that is soft and kind...I'm sure she misses nothing

Indeed, Grits, indeed

Where did you see the whites in her eyes in the posted picture?

This is insanity.

Cardus, you can't see the white in the top right corner of her eye? If not, your vision's not as good as mine.
