Los Alamitos Ed Burke Million break down

yikes, what a bad ending to my day.

Ed Burke Million, huge purse, and the longest longshot on the board at 25-1 wins it. No way! And then, in a bizare tragedy, after the wire, 2 horses go down.

Jockeys are okay, but the favorite, Leave the Scene, had to be put down,(Schvaneveldt's horse, who is in the hospital watching the race) and I think Star in the East, a promising 2 year old.

Man, too many bizarre things in one race, sad.

Los Al wierd tonight. $1,800+ trifecta in the 9th, a $4,400+ trifecta in the 4th, . In the 1st, a $700+ trifecta and in the 2nd, an almost $500 trifecta.

I used to bet Los Al, but when they raised the take, i just quit them cold turkey.

Anyway, i flipped on tvg and they were at the gate for this race. The host (mike joyce?) was like "we are going to freeze this at the wire because of the breakdown".

I rewound the tape and you cant see the breakdown at all on tvg, i have no idea why they 'froze' the replay, that made no sense, the breakdown wasnt shown on tvg at all.

Well, based on HANA site, the only decent tracks as far as takeout would be Churchill, Gulfstream and Keenland. (B scores)

According to HANA site,
Pick 3 and 4 at Belmont is a whopping 0.26. At Los Al, it's only 0.2288

Los Al take out is
0.17630.22880.22880.2288

While Monmouth is
17000.19000.25000.2500

While Belmont is
0.16000.18500.26000.2600

While Saratoga is:

Am I reading the charts right?

If so, this tells me not to play trifectas and superfectas at Belmont, Monmouth or Saratoga, and not pick 3's or pick 4's either, as the takeout is bordering on usery.

I think they didn't realize it happened after the wire, not before or at the wire.

This is their version of the triple crown series for QH's.
