Gotta agree. Trump has failed

You’re going to see more of this every day

I've been saying this for a while.

There are a lot of people who think it's 2015 again. It's not.

He had his chance to fulfill his promise of "draining the swamp."

Maybe it was his political naivete, or maybe it's an impossible task, or maybe he just wasn't up to it. But he had his chance. And he kind of screwed himself over more than a few times.

Who hell is "Tara Servatius of the Tara Show believes..."?

It's pretty apparent that none of you know, let alone understand, the power of fierce loyalty to a cause...the power of strength in numbers! It's painfully clear that the Demos do understand.

How stupid to think that "Trump has failed" because he failed to "drain the swamp"...a freakin' swamp that has been slowly destroying this country for decades and which, because of him, has been glaringly revealed. I'd bet that none of you ever gave the idea of "swamp" a second thought before Trump came along.

Can anyone explain this quote? And just who was it that had to correct her grammar by inserting brackets, albeit a few more errors were missed?

Quote:
“I think whoever is the party nominee for the Republicans has to do more [and do it] better than any candidate in history has ever done,” she said. “And that person cannot sluff off to a Jared Kushner… you cannot sluff off the part where you prevent the Democrats from stealing the election to a Democrat whose father is so corrupt he’s in prison.”
Some people are so easily swayed!

This is the most disappointing thread I've ever seen put up here!!

The truth can be painful

Remember, Trump was elected by the “anybody but Hillary crowd”

For many of us it was never about trump- we were voting against Dems and the left.

Paul Ryan kept Trump at bay and he fell for it. Shame on him……

Yes, but 2020 wasn't about "anybody but Hillary" and his vote totals grew after 4 years of peace and prosperity. And in 2024, won't you still be voting against Dems and the left?

I don't think any one person can change D.C. It will take legislative change to defund some agencies, re-arrange others, and start the drain. I don't see it happening in my remaining lifetime, to be honest.

I don't blame Trump for not being more productive, considering all the forces arrayed against him. I also think that if he were to get a second chance, he wouldn't make some of the personnel mistakes he made in his first chance.

I thought he was pretty productive for the American people, considering he two parties of deplorables to deal with.

You want to really drain the swamp?
Drop a nuke on the Capital next SOTU gathering.
Nothing short will git er done.

The only small but unrealistic chance of draining the swamp would be a super charismatic leader with a squeaky clean record so there’s no way the swamp/media cabal could threaten and control him/her. I don’t see how someone like that could get into the position to win. Regardless of whether you are a politician or famous businessperson, there are likely to be things the deep state will find to keep you under control. Personally, I think that’s part of what held Trump back. He probably has loads of dirt he’d love to come public with, but he can’t because they have loads of dirt on him from both his personal and business life.

Yup not sure about this "powerful" Tara person who I've never heard of.

That being said, not only did he not drain the swamp but he was fine with his own swamp. The only people left around him are people that went to work grifting off of him. If you think a bunch of countries are hiring Rudy because of his cybersecurity expertise I've got a bridge for you. And then throw in Toensing and diGenova and their clients.

Honestly I did vote for him the first time, mostly because I'm in NY and wanted one more vote to go against Hillary. I didn't vote for him the second time because of his constant talk of China filling out coffers with tariffs. I get politicians spin but it can't be a flat out lie. Don't pee on my leg and expect me to vote for you.

I'll never vote for a Democrat again after the Kavanaugh stuff. I didn't often anyway but locally that leaves me out of options. I won't vote for Trump either because I feel he sits back and thinks we're all stupid. If he gets the nom in 2024 get ready for the write in for my cat.

Jeez...all this time I thought it was his mean tweets.

Some of you still don't get!

Democrats/Leftists = united fierce lions (even though propping up a limp weed).

Republicans/Conservatives = divided wimpy lambs (like threats to write-in a cat). What will THAT get you??

Shameful and very disheartening.

Maybe you can explain the quote in my post. You seem to understand her better than I do.

Instead of a bunch of the chicken or the egg posts I think letting the process answer who is right or wrong in this very preliminary time. Everyone has someone that they prefer be the nominee right now, most of us are wrong and some are correct. The ultimate test is getting everyone to vote for the nominee. Deviding up the voting blocks now helps the socialists and commies. None of us want more of this asshole,

Of course. And everyone needs to prop up his or her chosen one by his or her merits...ONLY! Needing to tear down Trump (or any other person, for that matter) by asinine accusations ad nauseam only diminishes the stature of the person he or she is trying to tout. If he or she can't stand alone, he or she doesn't deserve the post. PERIOD!

So the liberals here feel the need to be in lockstep with one another or their house of cards will fall down, I am 90 % in agreement with Ralph just as I am with you. I hope none of us sweats the other 10 %, because I sure as shit don't. I want Trump to run, and he can make fun of anyone and it will not bother me. To be honest I do not know what he will do at this stage, I just know that I am not a saint and not likely to vote for one.
