Darren Sharper arrested
Allegedly involved in seven sexual assaults in four different states.
As a known Steelers fan on this site I have heard more than enough about Roethlisberger's troubles.
Surprised there's no thread about the guy who was basically the Saints MVP during their Super Bowl year in 2009. My opinion is that they wouldn't have won that title without Sharper. He lead the NFL in interceptions that year and returned three for TDs. Six time All Pro and named to the all decade team from 2000-2010.
A sure fire Hall of Famer right?
More decorated than Big Ben, so....
Where's the outrage y'all ?

Maybe the NFL should build a Hall of Shame; they could fill it in no time.

I don't know about any comparison to Big Ben(a star super bowl QB), but when they originally released this story, the sports media seemed to imply that these were women who got a little 'tipsy' and then claimed they were taken advantage of while drunk.
There was little sense in questioning otherwise, in discussions such as ESPN.
Now, there is finally explicit suggestion that Sharper may have allegedly used a drug on his dates.
In other words the public hasn't really been exposed to the story as much as it could be.
It's still 5 stories down on ESPN's NFL section, (which has a center picture of Jonathon Martin in what appears to be blue lipstick? - i don't even want to know...).

As a die hard saints fan, I would agree he was instrumental, if not the largest reason for our run to the bowl. But, he gets no pass from me on this. If found guilty, he should serve every damn minute.
All to often these sports athletes think they are above the fray.....news flash, YOURE NOT!

I agree.
Men need to just not hit women. AND, he's a large (relatively speaking) human being with tremendous strength, he's not Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory, when a guy this strong hits a woman its pretty bad, you have to find a way to not hit women, its not rocket science, you have to keep your hands off other people.

Not really a huge football fan; too much violence and the gambling aspect ? Awful. The violence against women is deplorable.
