A 500k guarantee on the Saturday card pick 5? Real ballsy BC. Last Saturday on a completely nondescript afternoon of racing at Santa Anita, with all 5 races having just 7 or 8 entrants, the pick 5 pool was 509k.

Also, would be nice for bettors interested in BC races to make use of the player-friendly takeout pick 5 as part of their wagering options, but on Friday there are no BC races as part of the pick 5 sequence, and only 2 are included for Saturday's card. Maybe someone eventually will consider a late pick 5 as part of the betting menu going forward on Breeders' Cup days.

It's a horrific wagering sequence. There are 6 Pick 4s offered, but only 2 involve all BC races. I don't understand the wagering logic on Saturday where the final P4 involves the major BC races plus some 2-year old sprint?

Over the span of 2 days, the wagering emphasis is on NON BC races? What a farce!

It looks like they made changes to race order sequence. Now I see ALL BC P4 and P6.

Is this all legislation, preordained?

If not they've got some splainin' to do or need an MRI of the brain

The best track take pick 5 is always involving mostly NOT BC races?

The Saturday pick 6 ends with a Del Mar race(12) NOT the BC Classic? How anti-climactic can you get?

Have a look, it fits the Pick 5 meet rules too (1st 5 races, always) as it is the last 6 races. Races 7-12 are the P6, and the BC Classic is R11. That's from the link above, wagering menu.

If you go to this link however, it says BC Classic is race 12.

http://www.breederscup.com/event-details

Now I'm confused, but fear that BC Classic is in fact R11

Should be the host track's takeout right?

I hate the fact there is no late pick 5 on either day covering the best racing

Looks like they had a 14% takeout on pick 5's this year. Not surprisingly, pick 3, 4, and 6 all have a takeout of almost 24%. Sooooooooo...

They don't offer it and get the 10% takeout bump because we will migrate into other the other pools since we cant help ourselves. Makes complete cents!

But seriously, I was really hoping for the late pick 5. It is my favorite weekend of the year, and I will play accordingly.

Saturday you at least get races 3-4-5 BC for the Pick 5, but you better like those first two legs of the local Del Mar action.

I'll probably still play the pick 4, likely not the pick 6 since it's exponentially harder to hit on a day like the BC
