It is not a big ask for three year olds when the older horses are absolutely terrible. Between these older ones and the ones that ran in the JCGC you are hard pressed to find an older horse that could win a G3 if they were put back in time 20 years ago. This is the worst group of older and three year olds of all time. The final time was very slow and there was a long gap back to most of these.

Agreed. With the exception of Arcangelo and maybe one or two other three yo that may improve . That bunch isn’t completely lost yet . But these older horses are ridiculous. I thought Slow Down Andy looked like a chump ……. What a flat, one paced affair that race was . Then the race here , Bright Future ? Proxy and Tyson . The favorite in that race was was no where too. The older horses this year are somewhat laughable .

Does anyone know if there was a stiff wind "with" the horses in the stretch Pacific Classic day?

The early fractions for the three 2 turn route races came up a bit quick. It's hard to tell how much was the horses and how much may have been something else like wind.

There was a wind advisory with gusts up to 20 mph out of the west which would have aided horses in the stretch.

It didn't seem windy at the track though.
