What's Canada have to do with it? Maybe you enjoy betting 4 horse fields when they are rained off the turf. You have to adjust with the times and grow, otherwise you die. Saratoga is just as close to New Hampshire as it is to Canada, So what's your point? Do you even have horse racing in New Hampshire?

I mean probably, its the highest level so that is the expectation, assume they are the highest paid as well.......but rating every gate crew in america is not an endeavor I have taken up.

Maybe the higher pay brings more competent employees to New York.
Nonetheless I admire what they do. I could never do that job.

Saratoga is the preeminent race meeting in North America.
There is no argument.
Weather is something that is part of the sport. An element that can only be dealt with. Not controlled.
Id be willing to bet a large amount of cash that if asked horsemen and owners would want to take their horses to Del Mar or to Saratoga, they are picking Saratoga.

Let us put that into context.
A good number of short fields at the Spa in 2023 were due to races taken off the turf.
This has been a very rainy summer in Upstate NY.

And yes I’m not forced to bet Saratoga but they should want to offer a good betting product? Radical concept right?

They only had two 4 horse fields today, so that wasn’t too bad for a weekday.

9.4 per race ended up being 7.0 after scratches.

SO?
I thought the subject matter was short fields due to lower numbers of horses entered?
You're moving the goal posts.
That I will not allow.
If you want to discuss this rationally, stay on point. If you want to run a narrative exposing your bias toward DelMar, don't waste my time.
