The person who wrote this article should be slugged right in the gut for omitting Kelly's Roast Beef from this list. I will have you know that Kelly's invented the roast beef sandwich back in 1951 which put it on the map and cemented it's reputation as a North Shore of Massachusetts staple food. Most folks order their roast beef sandwiches "three-way" which is with mayo, sauce, and cheese. If you not order your roast beef sandwich three-way I think less of you but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Also since moving to New Hampshire which doesn't have the same type of culinary scene as Massachusetts did. I can honestly say I found a roast beef joint up here I actually like and that is John's Roast Beef in Laconia, NH. They do roast beef sandwiches slightly different than they do down in Massachusetts but they truly are very tasty. Also shockingly enough you do not order them three-way but instead "house way". Trust me they're good. If you're ever in Laconia. Give them a try.
