I see that as a benefit.
Love being able to customize the guides on the streaming services. Can move MSNBC and all the other garbage channels to the bottom so you never see them. Youtube tv actually lets you remove them.
You sure about the local sports thing? Last I checked only AT&T Now was carrying Sinclair sports channels (Fox Locals, now Bally's) among streaming services. I just checked Fubo and don't see them listed anywhere.

For those that don't know, these networks carry the majority of local NBA, NHL, and MLB programming. There are a few on some of the NBC Sport Channels, just depends on your location. But the vast majority are gone from streaming.

I used to pay for it when I had cable.

I find I can get by just fine using online video on my PC.

If I record on YouTubeTV it just stores it on the DVR portion of my account. It has nothing to do with the Shield.
The one upside for TVG was they switch around from track to track, can't really get that anywhere else. But of course they prioritize their races and skip some you probably want to see. Also have heard NYRA and Churchill aren't on there any longer. So I'd never pay for this any longer.

RTN is the app I stream for my race watching. The computer version is best as you can have multiple streams at once. The version on the Firestick that I use on my television isn't as good but it does get the job done, just have to pay attention which tracks are about to run. Sure, I could use the video from my ADW, but it is not as easy to watch on a television and only $15 a month so I go that route. If I didn't want to pay, I'd buy a cheap Chromebook and just have it cast to the TV that way and not use it for other stuff.

I personally gave up on the local sports. I refuse to switch services again as they just keep playing games. If you want to watch any game, any fight, whatever, it is out there if you search around. I don't mind paying, but I'm not jumping through hoops any longer to watch the Thunder or Capitals play. If they put them back on YoutubeTV I'll pay, but otherwise I'm watching a stream and Sinclair gets nothing.

I did get free MLB through T-Mobile so I can watch the Orioles any time I want, but why would I do that?

Yeah, if I was still a huge baseball fan, I'd do the same, since YouTubeTV dropped YES Network (or YES dropped them I guess).

AT&T TV is the only place you can stream the YES network these days as far as I know.

Of course, if you aren't a Yankees fan, none of this matters anyway...lol

I plain love it.
Wow.
I literally thought I was imagining it.
I was wondering where my 3840 resolution went!

Obviously, we have the right equipment!

I'll sign us back up immediately.

Thank you.

Glad you’re happy Dave!

Believe it or not, some odd stuff looks really good.

Comedians getting Coffee, with Seinfeld.

View the Eddie Murphy episode. The video while they drive around LA is pretty damn good and noticeably above normal

The new Eddie Murphy “Coming to America 2” is really nice
The dance scenes are vivid as hell

The Pixar film “Soul” on Disney is incredible too.

Don’t forget “Bosch” on Amazon. Great binge candidate too

Watched them all.

Sadly, the next one is the last season.

I am watching Youtube TV on my laptop.
Can I just use an EDMI cable to see the same thing on my TV?

Yes, you can hook your laptop to your TV via HDMI.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/home-en...20an%20adapter.

Most TV's lately (and many within the last 5-10 years) are "smart TVs" where you can download the YouTubeTV app right onto the TV and watch it directly on the TV without a need for a laptop or any external device.

Cool! I may have that in mine - have to look.
Thanks.

OK, I connected a cheepo digital antenna to the AV room TV and picked up 24 channels crystal clear digital HD. I expect more when I decide on what antenna is worth buying. Also the format is a much better fit via the format button that the remote has choices on instead of the cable. Next is the selection of digital box or stick, the issue about VPN or not and the ability to save some content to mpeg for offline use and obviously subscribing to HRTV/TVG2. Spending more time inside sportsbooks and less time in the home is the plan and cable TV will soon be on the chopping block.

Ralph,

We went back to watching through the Apple TV device.

Can't believe the difference.

And, I did NOT sign up for the paid version - which adds very limited content.

For those who don't know, we're getting an almost 4K picture on our $398 Samsung TV from Costco. (48")
The resolution reports as 3,840

Newest version comes out in May.
