Good thing about free speech it makes it easy for one to show their true colors.
A Fresno State professor puts tenure to the test.

I never knew how useless tweets were as a means of communication...until Andy Asaro started introducing them to this board. Thanks, Andy.

I think the travesty is that places of higher education encourage a racist POS like her (I know I know nonwhites can't be racist) and offer her jobs to the exclusion of others.

I could easily be wrong about this...but I consider the social media to be nothing more than a gigantic distraction. Facebook, twitter, etc...these are the antithesis of "progress", IMO. I prefer to unplug myself from the "electronic world"...and connect myself to the "natural world" that we ignore to our detriment.

OK, you're ignorant.

Breaking news on Twitter is important. I don't do facebook.

To each his own. The few times that I've followed twitter, all I've seen is vulgar discussions surrounding mind-numbing issues. I find that I can easily do without it.

Unfortunately, it is those who rely entirely on those media to communicate and exchange "ideas" that will remain ignorant.

George W. Bush once infamously asked, "Is our children learning?" An even more valid question now that the written word has been greatly replaced by 280 character tweets.

I said this very thing today. The more I unplug, the happier and more peaceful my life becomes.

99% of those who tweet think people really care what they have to say. With very few exceptions, we don't.
