If I said the FBI, there would be no end to the tin foil conspiracy replies. So I said courts

The blue wave is gonna bring the Dems back into power. Obama served as president for 8 years. Already in the brief period of the Trump reign he has out-scandaled every president except Nixon

I'm comforted by the fact that he probably has ten scenarios playing out for each concern we have.
It all depends.

I'm pretty much in a hope for the best but fully ready to expect the worst.

Do I honestly think there is a chance we get the NK denuclearize? Hell no.

It likely goes one of two ways. The talks and deal fall apart as parties stay committed to their agenda's and the status quo remains. I would actually be okay with this.

What I am more concerned with though is the administration doing the more politically expedient thing and passing something for the sake of having a "deal" smacking the #winning stamp on it and moving on. In that scenario we take the carrots, ignore the stick, sell out our allies, and the administration earns political points at home.

We get a deal for the sake of a deal. Similar to Iran. It won't be bad... but it won't be good either... and a comparison of the two would have to wait until the all of the terms are disclosed.

I can tell you one thing though... a guy like Pompeo leading this charge IS NOT who I'd want at State.

In your scenario, I'd much prefer the status quo over another bad deal.

Deals are always relative.

The Iran Deal for instance isn't great. I wouldn't have done it. I felt it lacked enough stipulations for compliance and they could easily not honor it. They are honoring it though and despite the commonly espoused right-wing talking points on the deal it appears to be working so.... <shrug>

A North Korea deal would require more scrutiny though as they are much more belligerent in their actions. Its not an easy one to navigate and I would grade it much harsher due to their past. However, nothing has been done yet so... <shrug>

I'm not sure NK is the greater danger. They are a self contained issue. Iran is another matter. They are spreading the filth around to maximize the destruction. If we didn't have the NK problem, nothing else changes much. We get rid of the Iran problem, and a whole lot changes in the M.E. and Africa.

I don't think North Korea is the bigger threat. Iran obviously is but there is a difference.

No doubt they hold more global clout, influence, and power. They are also a regional opponent of us as well. All that said and with all of that clout, influence, in power they can also be counted on to act rationally. North Korea can't. That's the major difference.

If any of us were in charge of Iran for the past 15 years or so we would have acted almost exactly the same as they have.

I would have planted more flowers around Tehran. Brighten the place up a little bit.

Me, conned by trump? Are you senile? I've bagged on trump enough around here. The fact is, he isn't Hilary Clinton. That's a good enough reason to (a) breathe a huge sigh of relief and (b) Dance on the grave of your wet dream of the hundred year reign of democrat rule.... Or whatever it was you were babbling about before trump beat Clinton.

Obama still sucks...

Trumps scandals are for the most part media made with deep state assistance. So far lots of flashes to blind the butt hurt but no bang... Trump will be ranked much higher then Obama when it all shakes out in years to come.

My 401K was more stagnant than HCAP's Senior year in High School Prom date prospects.

Then Trump.

38%, after 8 years of middling stuff that the Cleveland Browns thought was awful.

Have a good day HCAP. I'm sure you are angry for whatever reason.
