This marked the second straight week where Rams players were greeted by a sea of empty seats. Tickets for last week’s game against the Colts were as cheap as $6, but there were few interested buyers.

Even adding in the fans that attended the Chargers’ first game wouldn’t match the amount that showed up for USC’s game against Texas.

You do realize why the Rams' and Chargers' games are so poorly attended, right?

Yep. I also realize the Rams and chargers are nfl franchises. Poorly attended, indeed.

They are able to charge about $5,000,000 for a 30 second super bowl ad.

It’s one of the last bastions of engaged mass viewership. More and more people are slipping away to smaller screens but you still get 110 million viewers throughout the event.

NBC has already sold out all the “A” slots (the first commercial shown in a commercial break). They were asking more than $5 million for a 30 second slot. I don’t know if they got it but you are picking the wrong battleground for your “America is turning it’s back on football because of uppity black athletes” war if you want to choose the Super Bowl as the measure.

Stick with ticket prices for games played in white out conditions if you want a chance of carrying the arguement.

Referencing my link above, Los Angeles doesn't play in white out conditions in September.

Also, who here ( other than you, of course) is mentioning "uppity black athletes"? Not standing for the anthem has nothing to do with your inappropriate description.

Things can go terribly wrong by the time SB arrives. All it takes is some misplaced testosterone.

Fewer than 10 spots left. Average price is north of $5 million. That’s in line with the most recent Super Bowls. The last time NBC hosted the game was 2015 and they received an average $4.5 million per spot for that broadcast.

“There just aren’t a lot of places you can find the big ratings in a live environment, so advertisers do clamor to those types of opportunities.”
