Turfway Park and Sunland
Both host Derby preps this weekend, but i do not follow these tracks at all and am looking for some help in the way of par times (fingers crossed)....
Every year i am missing figs (my own) from 2 Derby preps and these are the two...if anyone has pars they would care to share i would greatly appeciate it.
Post them or PM me if you like...maybe i can offer something in return (no, not that )
Thx Y'all !

Yes, Stirred Up, a Virginia horse, is being ridden by Martin Garcia and trained by Bob Baffert. His morning line odds are 8/1.
Some see the race as "insignificant" in the Triple Crown picture, but to me, any race that pays $800,000.00 is interesting at the least.
Baffert has a second horse, Castaway (KY) with Bejarano in the irons going off in a sweet spot at 2/1.
Todd Pletcher has John Velazquez on Ender Knievel at 6/1 ML.
Frankly, I was going to pass on it, but after dropping some small bucks on Went the Day Well at Turfway ($12.40 Winner), I am suddenly interested in the Sunny Southwest.

Isn't He Clever/No Spin exacta box tossing money into the wind?
Thinking 50 on IHC to win and a 5$ exacta box - I've probably wasted 60 bucks on worse things.

Sunland Derby
To me, this race could present an excellent betting opportunity.
I see Baffert's pair (especially Castaway) as beatable, and way over bet.
Neither appear all that fast, and Castaway will be close to even money.
Playing exotics, I may use them underneath, but not to win.
The two I like are #2 Ender Knievel and #4 Isn't He Clever.
Both are capable of taking this race.
Good luck!

I'd like to see Baffert give Princess Arabella a shot to go against the boys in either a prep, or in the derby. I suspect it is a longshot to happen, but if some of his other prospects somehow veer off the derby trail I would think the percentage for this happening might go up.

She ran about 13 Beyer points slower than Daddy Nose Best did in the next race, and he would still be considered a pretty big Derby longshot. Taking on males wouldn't be the wisest move in my opinion.

Let me guess 98-100 Beyer.

I was anticipating more along the lines of a 93 for the winner but I don't make figs for Sunland. Just pure projection.
Daddy Nose Best showed he can handle dirt.....distance doesn't look like it will be a problem.

I completely forgot the Sunland Oaks isn't even graded, so she wouldn't even qualify for the derby unless she shows up in a later prep.

Too bad Holiday Promise isn't nominated...I liked him off his pedigree and even though he didn't win he sure made for a nice ex..
