Yes sir, You are correct 1,120.00 is the cost that superfecta, so out of my range and of course no dimes on Derby Day.

A/BC/BCDEFGHIJ/BCDEFGHIJ 1.00 for 112.00

I just like to cash for a decent return and not worry about all those placings and horses that pop the best race of their life.

I will bet $100 to show on Nyquist.

I did win a $25 entry in PaceAdvantage's DerbyWars contest, so will probably make some picks for that.

$1 super high five in 2014 with Chrome on top paid $149,000, so its definitely worth playing. I was kicking myself for not playing it. I won't spend a lot of money on it, but will throw some tickets together.

Presenting the clubhouse leader for most ironic post of the year.

Last year, I liked AP on top and Keen Ice underneath so I used him in the 4th spot in supers and 5th in HI-5s, only to see him finish 7th after no racing room in mid stretch. Would have been a career hit for me.

It paid over 6k last year with very logical horses. Granted it is a 20 horse field, but I think if you can pick a favorite and key another horse in a slot or two, you can hit this without killing your bankroll.

Examples, if you would be so kind.

1/ 23/ 2345678910111213141516171819/2345678910111213141516171819

The above wager is 544.00 for a 1.00 Pretty Pricey, but if ya got a few horses you really trust to be there.

Pace here can possibly have just that type of set-up, there are a few Late runners , that if free will run down the leaders and possibly , well you get the idea.

The below was with Big Brown winning and look at that super, still

$2 Exacta (20-5) Paid $141.60
$2 Trifecta (20-5-16) Paid $3,445.60
$2 Superfecta (20-5-16-2) Paid $58,737.80[3]

If Nyquist was to win how do you think the pace would be thus what types of horses would you put underneath him?

Same questions could be asked for a few horses. I like to look at the exotics that way rather then what i think are the 3 or 4 best horses etc

Late runners would be these 2 for sure

My Man Sam
Brody's Cause

There are a few more that will be running late

My true capping is yet to be done, but these are a few too look at, as for Win contender, this year , other than Nyquist hype, it could be a wide open race for win, gonna be very tough to cap this year

Oh well the day has arrived and Oaks wagering today, lets hope we do ok and can build a bank to play tomorrow.

Good luck everyone.

You can still put up a few wagering ideas, not necessarily the horses, just the wager strategy .

Do not get me wrong, there are still over 1.8 million combos, but I am saying if you have a strong feeling with a horse on top (even the favorite), and you can key a few underneath. This is an example where 1 needs to win, you key 2 to hit the ticket, 8 to finish 4th/5th, and using 5 more horses to round out ticket. if you only use 4, it costs $72, 5 $120, 6 $180.

1/2/3-4-5-6-7/3-4-5-6-7/8
1/3-4-5-6-7/2/3-4-5-6-7/8
1/3-4-5-6-7/3-4-5-6-7/2/8
1/2/3-4-5-6-7/8/3-4-5-6-7
1/3-4-5-6-7/2/8/3-4-5-6-7
1/3-4-5-6-7/3-4-5-6-7/8/2

$120

If you think pace is not fast and Nyquist wins this, I think examples of a 2 would be Mor Spirit and 8 Majesto

You guys are talking about supers and Hi-5s, while I would be more than happy with hitting a tri.

In a race like this, that is just way out of my league.

Right now I'm looking to play either a 1234/1234567/1234567 for $60 or 123/12345678/12345678 for $63

I like your tri's are they .50 tri? The 63.00 seems reasonable, the year I hit thr tri was similar, and if I would have played a few more dollars for the super I would have went from a 800 tri to a 58000.00 super payoff, bif freaking difference,

Good Luck

In the derby, if you have the money to invest, supers are the way to go, they always pay so much more.

Smarty Jones exacta paid $65, triple paid $987 & super $41,300......freaking huge difference!

Super Saver exacta paid $152, $1 triple $1,200, $1 super $101,300. These are astronomical differences
