FL opens April 21, a week later than usual.
Going to be cutting it close for the Derby hopefuls there this year.

At Aqueduct the rastas change to the haile selassie blend. Patrons really know when spring is in the air.

Those are the ones you need to watch out for, the late bloomers coming from FL and running at CD. I believe they are 0-0-0-0 over the past 15 years this is a great bet and one of the most unknown angles in this industry.

Wasn't this the name of the Ethiopian Emperor when Mussolini ripped through there in the late 20's? The guy's name was something like that.

Haile Selassie, former emperor of Ethiopia, also known as Prince Tafari. Ras is a word for prince, so he was also referred to as Ras Tafari.
Believed to be a direct descendant to the throne of Sheba and Solomon.
He visited Jamaica around 1975 and was received as a living God by the local RasTafarians.

***and when you hear the dreads at Aqu say "ras clot" or "blood clot" you are hearing a most foul and filthy insult; fightin words.
HINT: how would a Jamaican pronounce the word 'cloth' ?

The exemplary sign of the futility of the League of Nations occurred when Selassie pleaded to the League for help as the Mussolini regime made a belated imperialism run for Italy.

As Peter Tosh wrote mighty God is a 'living man, you can fool some people sometimes
