Horse Player World series

Are any other PA folks attending?
This is my maiden voyage as far live tournaments go.
Low scores prevailed on day one, so everything is still up for grabs.

yeah I'm here doing stuff for BetAmerica and interviewed a number of players today. Definitely a grind today for most of the folks. I think I saw only 59 of the 588 entries were above the breakeven mark in terms of bankroll for the day at $300.

I have one entry at $392, so I can build on that tomorrow hopefully.
Wouldn't $600 be break even?

I couldn't go this year because of work.... actually because of my old job ( as a manager I couldn't take the last week or first week of the month off.. BITE ME )

A few of my friends went again this year, but i couldn't find a leader board online anywhere so if someone gets a chance to post it after today I would appreciate it

Good luck to all PA members, if anyone is going to treasure island derby weekend contest that is my next stop. I had success at laurel and xpressbet tournaments in march. I finsihed 10th at laurel and 3rd on xpressbet.

thanks guys. after two days I have a competitive one day total.
I have three entries and feel that I have not employed them very well.
still if I can finish strong I might have a shot at the lower rungs, they also have daily prizes which is nice.
quite the experience so far.

Did they change the format to live bankroll? I was there two years ago and it was strictly win/place.

I finished 88th and I'm pretty sick about it.
With three entries my only goal was to at least cash of some sort.
I started strong today and was in easy striking position of reaching that goal, with many bullets still in the holster, but I just could not convert any of them. I really only needed one more winner.

Don't get discouraged at all, for your first time at the World Series or a live tournament at all you had a great showing. The main advice I can give you is to take as much out of each live event that you play. I try to learn something new at each live tournament. My first time at a live tournament was the World Series in 2014. I finished somewhere around 100th. The next year I went back and was in 11th after day 2. I made plenty of mistakes Saturday and finished 29th overall. Although you have to pick winners, especially in these size tournaments, often my goal is to not beat myself by making mistakes.

Hope this advice helps, let me know if you are going to any other Vegas tournaments this year. I will be at the derby weekend treasure island contest ( my first time ) , I will be at the summer classic, and Wynn tournament, followed by the fall classic.
