Back to Back Triple Crowns?
After 37 years of drought, can we do it twice in a row?

Yes, not because AP and Nyquil were/or are so great BUT because the rules suck and the crop sucks (and in AP's case-connections were motivated to lose & there were "extenuated BS circumstances to support a TC).

When all the horse has todo is break in the front find a clear path and just keep going on concrete, it's just like last year so why not.

Does it really matter? What did last years triple crown do for the sport?

No. Nyquist is a great horse but he ran out of gas in the finish, Exxagerator almost got him. So I don't think Nyquist will stay the 1 1/2 miles in the Belmont Stakes.

Absolutely nothing. Except give NYRA some profit for the year as the TC was alive into the Belmont.

Handle and TV ratings were both up last year.

Nyquist has an excellent chance in the preakness but that's where his triple crown win streak will end.

I think a rested closer gets him in NY...especially if Exaggerator skips the Preakness, which I am sure the connections will do.
