Despite being a hard ass right winger I enjoyed the years I spent in CA, 1972-1985. That included 8 years of gov moonbeam. I lived within walking distance of Santa Anita, the schools were first class and the Arcadia cops were aggressive. RIP Alta California.

Sounds about right, from personal experience most building inspectors in California do not know their jobs and no two are alike. I had one idiot red tag an electrical service entrance because I used a non metallic cable connector
to secure the solid copper wire that went to the earth ground. He said I need to use a rubber grommet. His reasoning that during an earthquake the metal clamp could shear off the copper wire. Obviously if an earth quake was that violent the whole building would come down. The deal with the inspectors there is they keep moving the gold posts.

California is a lot different now than it was in 1985. I was not able to escape
till 2011. I left during the 2nd act of governor moonbeam. All during his campaign he said no tax increases. The first day in office he said he had to raise taxes.
