It seems like a reasonable decision. The union has a responsibility to avoid damage to company property. At the very least, the drivers should have notified the company of the location of the cement trucks. Or they should have started the strike before the trucks were dispatched.
Now it seems that SCOTUS did not say the union was responsible, rather that the state courts should determine liability.
