They're protesting, with violence, the retirement age going up two years, from 62 to 64?

A bit wokey, isn't it? A bit wimpy, as well. Not surprising coming from the French!

It is not an violent insurrection, the minute the fires start it becomes a mostly peaceful protest.

Especially if the fires were ignited with molotov cocktails.

The lady who is minding the country store by herself, had taken the small flag on a pole out of it's outside holder, I suppose due to inclement weather on it's way. She was rushing toward the entrance as I walked toward it. Knowing that a small flag on a flimsy pole is considered a dangerous and deadly weapon in the hands of a Republican I feared for my life. I explained to her that she was holding a dangerous and deadly weapon in the eyes of the federal court in the District of Columbia.

She kind of had a confused look on her face, then I explained the circumstances as she had no idea she was brandishing a weapon. I consider her to be friendly so I did not defend myself.

This story is 100% true and just happened.

I don't know. If you were near retirement and they added 2 years to it would you not be upset. I wouldn't call it woke or wimpy.

Maybe if the average life span in France is only 70 or so. I mean...62 is hardly old age.
