Those jumping on the current "flavor of the week" are usually

Keep your bets small, and your potential returns enormous.
Good luck to those who try it, but it's a tough way to go.

I think the futures are a bad bet, but I bet it anyway
I played 22,23,24/3,4,12,22,23,24 and reversed, exacta wheel, and small win bets on 22,23. Total $70 bet-money I will never see again

Used to get great odds on the field bet in pool 2...Got Barbaro at 6/1 field and played him straight in the derby in addition...cleaned up...red board post of course...but...unfortunately the field bet in pool has since been hammered pretty hard and I've passed....want to get 5/1....greedy ain't I....there was another at 9/2 field bet #2 not to long ago...forgot who...didn't play it tho...probably why I can't remember....

That's key - risking money that's not a big deal.
I hope you hit it big

redboarding doesn't bother me and I didn't know the field was 6-1 in pool 2 when Barbaro won-must have been a strong favorite(s) in the choices section in that pool

I could be dead in the water after this weeks Risen Star; War of Will and Limonite both running-need both to hit the board

Coliseum now off the derby trail per Baffert. Knicks Go and Maximus Mischief going the wrong way possibly. Mutual field/all others looking better. With this weeks stakes races featuring others on the list, a few more could be gone as well

If the KY Derby was held this weekend, I think War of Will would have a big shot.
He will have to keep progressing to win in May, but he's very good now.

Put a Finn on Harvey Wallbanger. Mom's favorite drink back in the 70's. That is how I handicap these days.

With Coliseum off the Derby trail can anyone tell me if there are any Tapit sired horses on the trail? I made a bet in Vegas a while back at 15-1 but don't even know which horses that covers now. If someone could link me to a list of the triple crown nominated horses I could peruse it myself as well. Many thanks in advance.
