3-1 ML wins at 19-1 at Saratoga
"Never bet a lot to win a little."
The plungers at Saratoga today flushed their money down the toilet today in the 2nd race-in a trotting race no less-by betting a horse down to 1-9.
The horse was a shipper from Mass, listed at 7-5,had PP1.
The 2nd choice was coming in from Pocono and was listed at 3-1 with PP2.
The upshot:The 1-9 shot broke at the start with the second choice going wire to wire.
The second choice's last race was a type I really liked by leading to half, relinquishing the lead by the 3rd Q,holding its place to the stretch, then losing ground until the finish. You don't always get 19-1.
I'm still not back to charting daily as the landlord's renovations of the house are playing havoc with my internet's second computer connections, but I hope to be back in the game by the time that Scioto opens(and we get Ohio free programs).
