So, yes, in a way, you do. Nothing in the US Constitution gives anybody the right to irresponsibly harm others.

And owning guns isn’t a license to irresponsibly harm others. Peoples mouths have gotten many killed yet no test for that. Nor does one loose that right if they’re convicted of a felony. Should be no different with the second. This is why we will have another armed revolution in this country. You gun haters will have a big decision to make.

You are making even less sense than usual...and that's quite an accomplishment.

First off, I am not a gun hater, and if you have the focus to read my posts in this thread, you'll understand that. I am a strong 2nd amendment supporter because I fully understand what the 2nd amendment means. I understand it's purpose.
Second, the fact, the hard fact, that only a Kentucky Fried redneck would dispute, is that guns, in the wrong hands, can cause horrific, unwarranted, irreversible damage. I trust you can clearly see the truth to that statement.
However, guns, in the right hands, can be the most powerful deterrent to people doing the wrong thing that we have ever known. That's a good thing. So lets make sure guns are in the right hands.
The goal shouldn't be to take people's guns away. It should be to take away the NEED for them.

When you carry a gun among the general population...there has to be the assumption that you can at least come fairly close to what you are aiming at, should you decide to use it. You have the right to bear arms...and the general public has the right to stay alive.

And one of the best way to take away the need for them, is to keep them out of the wrong people's hands.

If there a fire in you home and you can’t put it out.
Self reliance goes out the window.

If you have fire extinguishers in your house, that is another layer of protection in addition to the fire department. Owning a gun is another layer of protection in addition to the police. A gun doesn't eliminate the police protection, it supliments it.

Telling someone they are off their meds has been lame for 19 years+.
So it's an automatic red card in my book.

to use the same line of thinking, there are many people killed by drunk drivers every year, why not take cars away from people?

You have to prove that you can drive a car before you are allowed to drive on public roads. What you need to do to get a driver's license is a state issue, as is the issue of buying a gun or getting a concealed carry permit.
The exception is that gun dealers are federally licensed, and a licensed dealer has to do a background check before selling a gun. State requirements vary. Few if any require training to buy a gun. Quite a few require certified training to get a concealed carry permit.
