Kind of annoyed it was the Joe Parker to hold on there. Talked myself off that one so I was rooting for the one to get there just so I could say that I saw the rider get that perfect trip he needs.

Gonna keep my head buried and plow ahead until I can figure something out.
Race 4:
I thought that Fulmer might fall short of his 5-1 M/L but is currently at 7-1 with 7 MTP. Obviously this fella has troubles as a five-year-old with such a sparse form overloaded with layoff lines. But, one trouble he has no more is jiggly ball syndrome as he goes gelding for this. His good races make sense and I get the feeling he might get the perfect set-up and trip if he's ready and fires. Don't think I can pass at the price.

contrast effect
Fulmer got shuffled back a little and had to play the far turn, but was a bit 'empty'. Also bet him today.
Whenever you see someone claim a horse like John's Island on his birthday, you aren't getting a ton of value in First off the claim(today).
It's not like he doesn't belong in the race and can't get a 2nd or 3rd, it's just that he doesn't belong as the chalk.
Johns Island kind of plays foil to the who have the 'contrast effect' in their favor, dropping in class.

Yeah he just sucked. And my neck is cramping from having my head buried.
I wanted to see the 5th as a race with more horses interested in pressing the pace than it might appear, but I'm just not sold. As much as I'd like to swing with Pax In Terra at 10-1 hoping for some running up front, I think that its equally likely that everyone will snatch and put River Date on that easy lead. And I really liked River Date, but not at what I figured would be about 9-5. But at 3-1?

Tough race.
First late money crushes the 6 down to heavy favorite, effectively taking any value out of the race, then the 7 wins a head bob.
Not only did I make a bad bet, I also lost my bet.

Anyone happen to notice BATTERY make a big wide move on the far turn--then wasn't really coaxed further?
That horse had no business at that class level--watch for a steep drop --and a big effort next.

RIVER DATE broke forwardly placed and retained the advantage, cut over to the rail midway on the backstretch, showed the way, feeling pressure from the top one to the outside, was the first of the twosome to have its pilot commit to encouragement, doing so at a short distance from the quarter pole, moved out towards the path three setting into upper stretch, raced as a team with JOHN'S ISLAND from the furlong marker onward and got nailed in the shadow of the finish line.

ZUZANNA four then three wide in the clear in range of the front, came under coaxing at the three-eighths, faded through the latter portion of the far turn, continued four wide into upper stretch and tired.

Not a whole lot of speed in the race. I like Ticonderoga though. Maybe secretary at war can continue to run good races
Win
Tri / /ALL and /ALL/7
Edit: the 1 is scratched. Might not even be worth it to play a tri.

looked like he might of actually liked the surface. Could be a horse to watch.
There was actually a first time weeds horse at parx today that paid about 90 dollars. Sure was... pioneer of the Nile
