Track Abbreviations?
Where can I find a complete list of track abbreviations?
Belmont is BEL
Pimlico is PIM
Gulfstream is GPX
But I don't know them for tracks such as Thistledowns, Belterra etc..
Thanks.

Belterra is BtP.
Gulfstream is GP, not GPX. (I think some data services may add an X to their file names for 2-character track codes so that all tracks have 3-characters.).
Also, to be technically precise, Belmont is Bel (not BEL) and Pimlico is Pim (not PIM). I know......you could not care less.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm handicapping Turfway Park for Wed. 12/20/2023 and one horse had workouts at Tdd.
What is Tdd?
Thanks in advance. I have searched this forum and all the way to the bottom of the internet. No luck. I'm mostly interested in whether Tdd has a synthetic training surface.

I know the top ones probably helped the OP, but below is a link to the training tracks across the US and their track codes. Thought it might be useful to some:

I cannot find this track listed anywhere.
I'd go out on a limb and guess that unlisted tracks don't spend the money for synthetic surfaces.

Think is regular dirt, no synthetic.

It is listed as ATC for Ashwood Training Center in the equibase chart that was posted above. It reopened with new management, Dec 15. It is a 3/4 mile dirt track with a turf oval inside the dirt track. The new abbreviation should appear soon.

Thank you to all respondents. I'm exploring an angle for Turfway Park that promotes Horses for the Course and workouts overs synthetic. So far, the results are inconclusive. I'll treat Tdd as a dirt/turf training track. Thanks agian.
