Tombstone.
I don’t want one but if I do and it says race track creep that’d be ok.

Wow, so you got to meet the man himself Mr. Barclay Tagg . . . look him in the eye and ask him the most important question one could ask and you say you saw Derby Fever in them there eyes; nothin' like bein' there, and nice photos.
So, Tiz the Law is goin' in the Florida come 28 March, (8) weeks between the Holy Bull and the Florida, figure he is gonna take a couple, maybe three weeks off then back to the work tab, looks like a nice piece of scheduling by Mr. Tagg. Thanks for the info Suff.
Livin' the dream . . .

Where her booth is, the most I ever get from Gaby is a friendly wave, or small smile because she is busy and focused. Going in-n-out of live TV requires that she stay focused. Its the same with TLG at Saratoga. They're busy, juggling many things and people are all around them.
I'd say its one of the hardest parts of the job is to be immersed into the show while being part of the show. When I see Acia Courtney doing her work... you can imagine right? She goes from walking ring to winners circle all day , she's attractive, beautifully dressed, and people want her attention.
At first I thought she was aloof, but over time I saw it as learned production skill. Its made me appreciate race track media people and the work that they do.
Last week Gaby story: as I said, a wave, or smile, or 10 words or less interaction with her normally.
Except last week, I caught her on track, and I said, Gaby, I have a double going to the 4 here , who'd you pick on top?
And don't you know she turned and started talking to me normal. She was telling me how she only looked at the race briefly, but she picked the 5 , and she liked the 7 a little. I FROZE! I mumbled some stupid shit and put my head back in my book I peed me pants that day to.. !
I could have talked to her but I blew it!

Secret Service everywhere
I still managed to caddy-shack the course.
The Secret Service is no match for a racetrack creepy crawler.

Suff, I know how you feel. I work at Keeneland teaching newbies how to wager and have had the privilege of talking with Gabby on a few occasions. My reactions are the same, you would think a 64 yr old man would at least be able to carry on a decent racing conversation, but suddenly I act like a middle schooler talking to a girl for the 1st time. Gabby is sweet, kind , polite and of course beautiful. She is my favorite racing personality along with Andy. Talk about opposites!

The Saturday after the Eclipse, while walking by her booth I used my 10 words or less to say to her: Trailblazing Eclipse Award Winner Gabby Gaudet is a mouthful!
She liked that one.

This is cool having an on-site reporter covering the winter for us!
Thanks a lot Suff, really look forward to logging in and seeing what's new. Makes it more personal when you know the guy living the dream!

In total I’ve spent less than an hour inside. & that includes 10 palms & the flamingo room. I haven’t been off the rail in two weeks.
1st floor casino
Right next to that casino entrance— free inside seats for horse players
Poker room, 1st floor
