Similar to when some "adult in charge" had to sit Biden down and explain why paying illegal immigrants $450k each was a bad idea.
Similar to when some "adult in charge" had to sit Biden down and explain why dispersing drug kits to addicts in the name of "equity" was a bad idea.
The Biden agenda is a bad idea.

Regarding the fighter jets debacle, don't worry ely...luckily, our best diplomat was headed over to Poland before this even happened, so she will no doubt have things cleared up lickitty split:

This is that bullshit Kremlin thinking.
Nations wanted to join NATO. Joining NATO requires a popular vote. Even afterwards it's expensive and disruptive especially in former Bloc countries because they have to completely retool and reorganize their militaries.
We don't even use the same bullets.
Yet they still chose to join...
Gee...<looks around>... wonder why.

When the Soviet Union fell, as part of the deal, the west agreed that NATO would not expand. Then it did. Why? It's because Russia and the west still see each other as adversaries and are trying to improve their positions and power relative to each other. Hence the legitimate heightened national security concern by Russia now.
Imagine if during the cold war Mexico "volunteered" to join the Warsaw Pact and put Russian troops and missiles on our border. What do you think would have happened? I'll tell you. We would have invaded Mexico and possibly started WW3. We almost did that when Cuba "volunteered" to have Russian missiles, but luckily we found a way to avoid it by taking our missiles out of Turkey instead.
There are no good guys and bad guys here. There are only bad guys, very bad guys, and innocent Ukrainian citizens getting killed over this.
It's being sold to us as being about "freedom". It is for the Ukrainians. But this is really all about Ukraine's strategic location, natural resources (especially some rare critical ones), oil and gas etc.. The rest is propaganda. If Russia invaded some country with no strategic value and no resources there would be a few speeches and everyone would go back to sleep.

You're not allowed to form opinions contrary to the state, or you will be branded a traitor and a RT propaganda mouthpiece.
You have been warned.

US apparently does have bio research facilities in Ukraine that they are concerned may fall into Russia's hands. Where's Fauci?

It's kinda weird the CNN piece claims all this caught the Biden admin COMPLETELY OFF GUARD since it's a topic that has been in the news cycle for days now.
Some "adult in charge" probably sat both Poland and the USA down and had to explain to them how this might not be a very good idea.
Likely someone who doesn't spend their entire day on twitter or PaceAdvantage...LOL

I'm guessing "those adults" are DOD quants who spend a fair amt of time running simulations.

NATO Intervention In Ukraine Could Spark Nuclear War. Here’s How It Could Happen:
https://thefederalist.com/2022/03/04...-could-happen/
Quote:
“How did we just kill a billion people?”
Over just three days, as I have done countless times over the last several years, a group of past and present senior U.S. government officials from both sides of the aisle gathered to wage a NATO-Russia war in a simulation at the end of 2019. In the course of what we called the NATO-Russia War of 2019, we estimated one billion people died. And if we aren’t careful, what happened in a simulation could happen if a NATO-Russia war erupts over Ukraine.
In fact, in the simulation I mentioned above from 2019, in which Russia invades Ukraine in a similar way as it did over the last week or so, not only does NATO get sucked in unintentionally, but Russia eventually releases nuclear weapons in its desperation. The result is an eventual escalation of bigger and more dangerous nuclear weapons whereby over one billion lives are lost.
|
Imo, the above article is an interesting read.
Not saying the simulations are accurate predictions of future events.
But they do give our military brain trust the ability to consider MANY different scenarios and are probably the reason we put the kibosh on Poland sending MiG 29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Point me to this deal...
Surely it was written down somewhere.

Poland announced publicly the transfer to Rammstein without first clearing with the US or German hosts.
The order of events is common knowledge and not up for debate.
Certainly a misstep that all of you can't wait to relish in but those are the facts.
