Jerome Stakes

Kentucky Derby points on the line today in the Jerome Stakes.

Arctic Arrogance is very logical and is actually cutting back in distance from his last out in the G2 Remsen where he finished a solid 2nd. 8/5 ML and wouldn't be surprised if he is odds on at the post.

Neural Network is a Chad Brown via Klaravich and romped in his maiden by 5 lengths. Not a great time though, but already has a next out winner that he beat. Late pace fig is eye-catching.

Lugan Knight may well be the 2nd favorite shipping in from the midwest for McCarthy. 3 liftime races and all are pretty solid. Could sit a nice trip from off the pace.

Andiamo a Firenze by Speightstown is the speedballer in here. Lone 1M race he collapsed while setting comfortable fractions in the G1 Champagne. Could be the key horse in forcing the pace on the .

Valenzan Day is in an interesting spot for Linda Rice off the claim. 8 career races already under his belt, but romped in his last in the mud. Had some lofty expectations last year running in 3 stakes/graded races. Has some speed and could sit just off. Maybe not a winner but an exotics booster perhaps.

Could be as easy a single with the , but also could be some interesting pace dynamics in the 1 turn mile.

Arctic Arrogance took a huge step forward from winning a state bred stakes to a second in a G2. This race feels like a significant drop down for him. You'd need some cajones to go against him.

Certainly looks to be the class of the field. Would not be surprising to see him win by open lengths.

Lugan Knight and jockey Dylan Davis take it to them in near gate to wire fashion while holding off the in a stretch long battle.

Impressive win.
