Its a little early to be saying that, he has a lot of career left in him. Look up what Christy Mathewson did in the 1905 world series.

In the 1905 World Series, he pitched three shutouts, leading to a Giants victory. Mathewson never pitched on Sundays owing to his Christian beliefs, contributing to his nickname, "The Christian Gentlemen".

Hate that bum.
Don't forget the other positive. You Mets fans don't have to stay home this Friday night. Unless, that is...you want to watch the Cubs.

Sorry. I should have said that Bumgarner is the best in the last 100 years.

At the beginning of the season, I would have been disappointed if I knew this was how it would end for the Mets. But it was truly a fun ride the last 40 games with the band of irregulars after all of those injuries.

Now let's see if the Cubs can play up to their form or down to their history. It is inconceivable that the Giants can beat them, but the Dodgers may be a different story.

I think we can all agree that Bumgarner is the best post season pitcher since the mound was lowered.

I went to an old timers game in Philadelphia in 1987. Gibson was in his 50s. I could not believe how hard he could still throw.
