RON GEARY -- ELLIS PARK

Anyone know the status of Ron Geary who was the owner of Ellis Park. I received an email from Ellis today and was wondering if Ron still owns that track. A group of us Ohio handicappers used to play his NTRA contests. Very nice guy and always treated the contest cappers like Royalty!!!

Ron sold 30% of the the track in 2012 to Saratoga Hospitality and Gaming and the other 70% to the same company in July 2018. Then as Craig pointed out in the link to the article, the track was sold again in June, 2019, this time to Laguna Development Corporation.


At the time of the 2018 sale, Ron (71 at the time) stated he wanted to slow down. There hasn't been any news about him I'm aware of since then.
