Lunatic's late addition to charms. 7 letters.

Straight definition = charms

Wordplay:

The poser is telling us that the letters in the word "late" are mixed up (lunatic)
with a word meaning addition.

addition = sum

The letters in sum and late are used to form an anagram AMULETS which are charms.

AMULETS
