$750,000 for half a year's work.
I would guess that Collmus' contract was likely in line with what Durkin was getting (as mentioned above).. not $750K/yr, but still $$$$

You really think they were paying Collmus what they were paying Durkin? Durkin was at the end of his career...and he was basically a legend...one can reasonably assume Collmus wasn't making what Durkin was getting...and one can see he certainly wasn't getting anything near 750k

The freakin' CEO of NYRA doesn't make $750,000 a year...not anywhere close to that...but this guy is trying to make you believe the track announcer is making that kind of money.

That's why it sometimes shames me to be a part of this giant misinformation machine called the Internet.

Here you go ...straight from the land of magical pixies and unicorns.

Dude...you and your source couldn't be more wrong. Durkin didn't come close to 750 and he was getting a SWEET ASS DEAL....

If you believe that bullshit, then there is nothing more I can do for you.

You do realize there are people on here with the ability to get the real story, correct?

This isn't twitter. lulz

Unless has a lousy agent, yes, I believe his contract was on par with Durkin.

Maybe, but all that requires is someone who is accurate. A replacement level announcer is fine.

Collmus was far, far above replacement level

John Imbreal is also the voice of the NYRA voice mail tree? No lie, 1.718.641.4700, Press 1 for Box Office , 2 for security Call Monday and buy some tickets before you die. .

The man is a legend and stone-cold-new-york. He intro'd Mariano Riveria at Saratoga last year 2019. He was flying that day. Real charmer too.

I'm willing to be wrong that FL is in play. What's up with Larry Colmuss? The topic has Leaped-Frogged over where's tom brady moving to. Greenwich Ct, latest.

Segway: Portnoy. Ka-CHING! Penn National. Boston Sucks.

Gulfstream appears to be going to an immersive experience at the track where the announcer is a key part of the event.

I took these videos today, 1-31-20, but these speakers showed up ~ 2 weeks ago. No dog in the fight, but when I think about Stronach building on top of this, I see the announcer as Priority #1 and that leads me to Larry.

Up and down the track, 1/8th pole to the wire, about 20 units.

I took 3. 1/3, 1/3, finish line. Continuous Sound experience.

16th pole

Further down track.

Post Race-Waiting for the Horses to come back, photo etc... at finish line.
