Question Should we just give the Red Sox the World Series trophy now?

Seems like they don't know how to lose.

No one is as good as they look when winning and as bad as they look while losing. If they can stay injury free, they are in very good shape, but I still feel that this team is on a knife's edge and one or 2 key injuries will send it right over the edge much quicker than you might expect.

It's a combination of them playing well and the Yankmes and Blue Jays playing poorly. I think they are clearly the best team in baseball right now, but have to avoid the injuries.. If their pitching can stay healthy, they should cruise.. Lot of ifs though

YES! It looks a lot like Curlin before the Derby. Winning by big margins. Funny how the Yankees look more like Street Sense. Classic champion winning in close finishes or running 2nd.

Hmmm, how did that one turn out?

If they make the playoffs, they could do some damage.. Unfortunately they are in a very tough spot in the Central. They could be the odd man out of the 3 between Cleveland, Chicago and them.

Haven;t the last 6 years taught you that the Yankmes are old, injured and just a hint of what they used to be during the good days?

Big Stein just doesn't get how to construct a world series team anymore. Too bad Clemens cannot pitch every night.. Hell, for $28 mill he should

Hmmm,

Well if we go by the last 9 years, the Yanks will win the American League East.

No other team in sports is measured by how long it has been since they won it all.

Heck I still remember 1983 and I am hoping the Phils make it back to the Series. I can wait 25 years for them, I sure can wait for a team that has made it to the Series 3 of the last 7 years.

YES I understand the Yanks are the "bad guy" in this wrestling match and it is cool to hope they lose.

Just like wrestling, the bad guy DOES win often.

We can talk about the old comment when the front running Bloody Sox are up against the Summer rotation of Mussina, Wang, Petite, Hughes and that old #5 starter named Clemens.

i beg to differ... even people in caves in iraq knew the red sox went 86 years between titles.

(I think it's so cute when yankme fans get their panties in a bunch when they keep trotting out $200 million failures )

And you think this is a GOOD THING? There was a maiden at ACRC named Zippy Chippy (or something close to that). People knew how many races that horse had lost in a row as well.

Now I hope you have some discretion and not tell us how you know what they are thinking in caves in Iraq. AND please do not tell me about your Yankee Friends and how they got their panties wrinkled.

Are you a Phillies fan or Red Sox or both?

You sound just like the four horsemen talking politics....it's scary....

Replace the word "Yankees" or "Yankmes" as you like to put it, with "Bush" and you would swear you're in Off-Topic - General, not Off-Topic Sports.....

Philly, you come across as someone whose hatred of the Yanks transcends everything including your Phils. Maybe Melfi has a slot open.
