Hey Unified,

I live in the bay area and GGF is my local track. Let me bounce some ideas off your selections.

Race 1
-#2 Hula King first time at this level. Sherrie starts him off in a sprint right off the break with all the intentions on going a mile +. Showed speed now drops another level.
-#6 Hold me close samuel claimed him two back and has showed decent speed out the gate. Always good combo after claim billy, taboada and calvario.
-#4 northern quest rough trip last race. 2nd try at this same level and jokey switch coming off 2nd race off lay off.

Race #2

-#5 Cajun bettor looks like the one to pick up the pieces. I see a ton of speed here and you get the leading jockey. Two back horse closed well at 5.5
- #1 and #3 Tamayo entered two horses to ensure the card filled. Choose your poison.

Race 3

-#1 mithqaal is the horse to beat. Last race went 47 1/2 and held for 2nd. If evin can have horse relax earlier during the race might be g2W.
#4 Angelos pride is interesting orozco hops on for BW and rivera bug gets on the #2. Angelos gets receive class relief after lay off and gets a top jock. Hmm

Race 4

#2 Malibu Alex last race final 2F 24.39. Reid france taking over John Martin for time being. catelino is having a great meet. I see malibu coming home and winning at the wire.

Let me know how you see it!

Good Luck,
Cesar

Hey Cfrisco415, thanks for your indepth analysis.

My picks were created by using the Handifast software. Certain profile settings of the Handifast variables ususally do well at Golden Gate. That's the gist of my analysis.

I see that you're a new member of the PA forum and your post today is your very first post. Great to hear from you! I'm sure many people in this awesome forum will appreciate the thorough detailed reasoning of your selections.

I don't know why the beginning of this Golden Gate card is delayed. Hopefully we'll be starting soon.

Happy trails!

Hmmm the start of today's card is still delayed.

I realize there's a beach hazards warning in effect today but I assume Golden Gate is far enough inland that we don't have to worry about our beloved GG thoroughbreds being able to do the dog paddle!

*WHAT...Long period northwest swell of 8 to 11 feet at 16 to 17
seconds expected.

* WHERE...Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National
Seashore, Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast, San
Francisco Peninsula Coast and San Francisco.

* WHEN...From 3 AM PST today through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Increased risk of sneaker waves and stronger rip
currents and/or long shore currents.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A Beach Hazard Statement for sneaker
waves means that conditions are present to support a
heightened risk of unsuspecting beach goers being swept into
the sea by a wave. People walking along the beach should never
turn their back to the sea. Avoid fishing from rocks or
jetties. The coastal waters remain cold. Cold water shock may
cause cardiac arrest, and it also can cause an involuntary
gasp reflex causing drowning, even for a good swimmer. The
surf zone will be dangerous due to strong currents and
powerful breaking waves.

Perhaps my concerns regarding GG's horses being able to dogpaddle are unfounded.

These horses are excellent swimmers:

Thanks for the info BIG RED. I grew weary of waiting for the card to begin after my swimming horses post.

These days I rarely talk politics because the ability to speak about political differences yet remain civil is a forgotten art.

But I will say this:

I'm almost 60 years old so I clearly remember a time when most people were much nicer to each other (70s 80s 90s)...in spite of not walking on eggshells so supposedly no one ever gets offended and in spite of not constantly posturing about supposedly protecting everyone's rights.
