Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick’s Mother: ‘He Wasn’t Hit on the Head’ on Jan. 6
Quote:
The mother of Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick said her son was not beaten with a fire extinguisher by a mob on Jan. 6, saying he likely suffered a stroke instead—refuting reports from the New York Times and other outlets claiming otherwise.
“He wasn’t hit on the head, no. We think he had a stroke, but we don’t know anything for sure,” Gladys Sicknick told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview on Feb. 22. “We’d love to know what happened.”
The NY Times, CNN, and NBC updated their reports weeks after the Jan. 6 breach to assert that Sicknick was not killed by a fire extinguisher. Originally, the NY Times reported, based on anonymous sources, that Sicknick was beaten to death.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
You do realize that capital police were well within their rights to use deadly force on the violent insurrectionsists, right?
And you call it "murder" that one actually did?

He was not well within his rights.
He endangered other officers who were standing right behind her.
She was not a threat to life and limb of anyone he was protecting.
If he was street cop they would hang him.
You don't shoot trespassers or burglars who are unarmed.

You storm the Capitol, bust open doors yelling threatening things, you take your chances. While I do wonder if shooting the individual was necessary, it clearly was reckless behavior, and the police officer was scared. I read that he was cleared of any inappropriate actions. Generally, that is how it works, police officers are given the benefit of doubt.

David Bailey’s gun was trained on the unarmd girl from the time she approached the door until he took several steps towards her when she was boosted up onto the opening and blasted her. He gave no warning whatsoever and did not appear scared, his actions were calm and deliberate.
This is in stark contrast to the police shootings of individuals which spark violent riots across the country, the ones where the vast majority of the lead recipients were either resisting arrest, or armed and disobeying orders, or both.

Nothing happened there that was remotely as bad as your typical BLM riot as held across the country last year.
BLM is the REAL threat.
What you saw at the capital was, hopefully, the right side getting woke.
I think this summer will be far different than last year.
And, still, watching those idiot elected POS hiding under chairs, tables -
It was the PEOPLE coming to the PEOPLE's to tell congress that they are not welcome there.
I 100% support what went on.
100%.

It’s a legal analogy. Crimes are categorized by degree and elements.
What she was doing was no different than trespassing.
She would have to commit a theft offense to make it a burglary.
SHE WAS UNARMED AND HE SHOULD BE IN JAIL.
BTW, you don’t want to argue the crime. Not with me.
Explain to me what crime she was committing that warranted deadly force? Elements and degree of crime. Get with it smart ass
