I never wade into off topic and will likely be sorry I did. But I strongly feel Trump lost due to his ego and narcissism. Unfortunately it also cost the Republicans the Senate.

"One of President Donald Trump’s lesser known but profoundly damaging legacies will be the explosive rise in the national debt that occurred on his watch. The financial burden that he’s inflicted on our government will wreak havoc for decades, saddling our kids and grandkids with debt.

The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office. That’s nearly twice as much as what Americans owe on student loans, car loans, credit cards and every other type of debt other than mortgages, combined, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It amounts to about $23,500 in new federal debt for every person in the country.

The growth in the annual deficit under Trump ranks as the third-biggest increase, relative to the size of the economy, of any U.S. presidential administration, according to a calculation by a leading Washington budget maven, Eugene Steuerle, co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center. And unlike George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln, who oversaw the larger relative increases in deficits, Trump did not launch two foreign conflicts or have to pay for a civil war."

Like his casino business he fought like hell to charge toward bankruptcy with taxpayer money.
Give me a break! If Trump hadn't signed the stimulus money you would be crying that he doesn't care about the American people. He signs it and you cry about the national debt.

For all of election season, you basically swung back and forth in post after post about how Trump was

MOVING LIKE A TREMENDOUS MACHINE

and

FIXED!!!!

Now you're whining that he just needed to pump the Trumpy brakes?

80+ million votes for Sleepy Uncle Joe while living in his basement almost the entire time. Most popular President ever by voting numbers alone?? Pllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! Complete and utter nonsense !! He evidently didn't have the foresight to stay out of future political office because China and their minions have got him by the short hairs. If he doesn't play ball with them and loosen up the tariffs etc. to what they were prior to President Trump just wait and see what happens.

TREMENDOUS MACHINE?

Never...always was posting how he was destined to lose no matter what.

THAT would have been something to post back at me and would be way more CONTRADICTORY to THIS THREAD than anything else I've written.

You kind of missed that softball pitch...I'm saddened to see you stumble like that.

Jim
Make no mistake, Mitch McConnell essentially telling all of the regular people (citizenry) in the U.S. to F_ _k off is what made the Republicans lose control of the Senate, and, in all likelihood much of their future base as a political party. Mitch McConnell is primarily the one to blame. Et tu Mitchie Poo!!

What really upsets me if that had GA republican's showed up and voted in the Senate runoff in the same numbers as they did in the General election, Republican's would have at least held the Senate. Had Republicans showed up in the General election in the numbers they did in the primary, Trump would have won the state and Republicans would have held the Senate. GA really let us down.

I agree with you and MargieRose. They knew upfront that they could not beat the President at his own game, so they changed the game so they could keep on counting even when there were more voted than registered voters. Many many other irregular noteworthy things need not be listed now.

Republican or Democrat?! In the grand scheme of things did any of it matter? Mitch (Turtle Boy) repeatedly squashed the opportunity to pass a stimulus by refusing to have the bill even see the light of day on the Senate floor. A man who has made a fortune off of the tax payer dollar over his entire career. Screw him and everyone like him regardless of political affiliation.

Worthless "advisors"

Despite the OVERWHELMING amount of FORCE used against him for 4 years by the powers that be (opposition Dems, Never-Trumpers, and the MSM), he still had a great chance to win in November.

But no...he had to be Mr. Asshole, Mr. Dumbass, Mr. Macho, Mr. NeverGiveAnInch, Mr. NeverBePresidentialUntilItsTooLate.

All he had to do was give just a LITTLE BIT, and he would have won.

And now it's going to be just like the last four years never happened.

Hillary might as well have won in 2016 as far as I'm concerned. Because now she and her wing and the far-left wing are going to be running the show from here on out...with the house and pretty much the Senate in their pockets.

So really, what did Trump accomplish that can't be overturned by Biden/Harris/Clinton/Obama?

The Supreme Court? Who cares. The justices never blow the way you think they will anyway...so does it even really matter?

Hillary actually won in 2016. It just took four years to get here...**** Trump.
Wait a minute! Aren't you the one who unequivocally predicted that Trump would lose due to all the dimwit cheating that would go on?

The mob was fed lies,” McConnell said on the Senate floor on the last full day of Trump’s presidency. “They were provoked by the president and other powerful people. And they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government which they did not like. But we pressed on.”

McConnell's so old school he wouldn't know a mob if it surrounded his house.
