Mountaineer: Five horses in the race, public handicappers pick four of them!

The handicappers pick four horses in a race that consist of only five of them?

Is this a joke or what?

Not sure of your point. No matter the field size, they pick 4 horses...was there not show betting allowed? Maybe they even had a super, I don't know...nothing surprises me anymore.

Really not getting your point here.

No show betting.

My point is that I really do not believe that it makes sense to pick 80% of the field. In this race I think that a handicapper should pick two horses and no more.

The fact that Mark ranked , , and ,
as better betting propositions than the entry,
was valuable information.

Had he simply posted " " ,
we would have a limited scope of his opinion.

Now, if he the (or even worse, the ) were to win,
and Mark were to come back,
and redboard the fact that he was a 'top selection',
that would be different.

my software

says The Mountain is a waste of time. That track like most small tracks are for guys like Mountainman, who spend a great deal of time studying that track's trainers and horses. He has a feel for when a Trainer is trying to win, It can be a Horse that looks like crap on paper.

IMHO: Handicapping software is a waste of time there. Software programs work best at the big money tracks.

Even He and Nancy get fooled often , How many times they both have the same 2 on top and neither are there. And there are many times my software or Bris software says "No way, get off the drugs Nancy" and their picks win. I watched, did not bet , I was more interested in Aussie and NZ. The Aussie races were all sprints. 5.5f-6f. Played well to speed maps and sectional times found online. I may play MNR tonight, Big Pk5 carryover.

Not knocking Mountainman and Nancy just saying.. Mountainman hit a nice Pk5 months ago when he posts on that website. (He probably thought no one was reading it) 4-5 straight singles.
Sometimes he forgets to post. I'll always try to remember to check his picks.
