First, the pan camera went out during the live feed. So viewers watching the race live on the television feed were stuck watching a view from the 3/8th pole tower of the horses going down the stretch, with the finish obscured by one of the tents built for the BC (not that you could have seen much from that angle anyway).
But then, something really weird happened. They disqualified the
horse for doing the Bayern thing shortly after the start and coming all the way over and causing the
to stumble. That's not something the stewards normally do here....
