Obama, the new Nader
I can't believe it, Dems are doing it again: handing out fall elections to Republicans. Obama has got like zero chance of winning in the Fall and beating Republican nominee. With the fiscal, economic and political crisis our nation is facing, there is no where in hell Obama gets elected. He will be trounced like Mondale, Dukakis or McGovern. VOTE for Hillary, damn it!!!!

Obama is not my pick either.
But I think that your read on the situation is wrong.
His opening win in Iowa has started a fire.
He'll win again in New Hampshire and the blaze will grow bigger.
As he rolls south more and more will be jumping on his band wagon.
People are like sheep in that regard.
And guess what? He'll not only win the Democratic nomination, he'll
beat the Republicans as well.
America will have it's first black president.
That's what my crystal ball says.
But he's not my pick. He seems to be a great man, but he just doesn't have enough experience in both foreign and domestic affairs.
(Obama's role in this is far different than Nadirs. Ralph split votes away from the Dems.
Barack will be a key player.)

Uh....don't think so. I agree with the original poster that Obama as a candidate would be like McGovern or Mondale to the dems. Hillary would have a better chance of getting elected (shudder).

Hillary's problem (besides her denegrating husband) is that she starts every sentence with "I". Obama's appeal is that he starts every sentence with "we".
Though Barack is not my favorite (Dennis K is), his words of hope and change appeal to many.
On a side note, did you know that the first American to give his life in the cause of liberty (1770) was a black man, Americus Crisspus (sp)?
It's time to restore the freedoms and liberties to ALL! That dream has never died. AND IT NEVER WILL!

I really think there are about 20% or so of the DEMS that will NOT VOTE for her. That spells certain doom in a general.
Also, if she were to take out Obama , the black turnout for her would not be there as well.
She will have to go to the slash/burn on race to take him out or it will be looked at that way.
She can't win now in the general , no way I can see.
Mccain or Romney and maybe Rudy still, would all beat her to death.
She isn't Bill on the campaign trail.
The longer she is exposed the worse she looks and SOUNDS.
Always with the I I I I am going to bring you something crap.
I think Obama along with a southern white independent type would have the best chance to win for the DEMS.

True that. The only little problem that the "fat cats" face is that "we the people" want our piece of American pie. So, it's not "we the fat cats" after all, it really is "we the people". And more than about time to but the fat felines on a starvation diet!

I think the guy's name was Crispus Attucks, or CoCo Crisp to his friends. His name is on the high school that the Big O, Oscar Robertson attended.
Just as a point of information.

Bloomberg is the "Nader" impact here, not Obama.
Ralph Nader = Michael Bloomberg
Focus on Bloomberg at Bipartisan Summit
By SARA KUGLER – 1 hour ago
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg turned up the volume on a possible independent bid for president on Monday, participating in a bipartisan summit that stole a bit of the spotlight from the announced candidates in New Hampshire.
