Definition of Far left

Interesting that reading the posts on this forum there is often the comment 'far left'. A genuine question here to help my understanding is what do you consider 'far left'?

Someone who is for illegal immigration, free college, free phones, free medical, political correctness, abortion on demand, free needle exchange, affirmative action, non-merit based advancement, gun free society, taxes up the yazoo.

taxes up the yazoo... as long as it's others are paying them. Like the evil rich.

You forgot wealth redistribution.

A better approach would be drilling down on an issue.

Otherwise you're gonna get Hannity talking points.

For some reason, the guys on here consider me "Far left".

So, using Jimmyb's list, let me tell you what I think.

FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
No, but I also do not believe in targeting a group-like Muslims-and making it illegal for them to come to the country just because they belong to a group you don't like.

FREE COLLEGE
Not free college, but enough public support for college so that most can go to college and finish college without paying tuition rates that put them in debtors prison.

FREE PHONES
Not for them.

FREE MEDICAL
I am for Medicare for all; a system in which care is provided just as it is now by a combination of Private and Public entities, and paid for by a Single Payer insurance system. Folks on here think that is fee medical care. it is not. The individual pays a Medicare tax as does his/her employer. Not free.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
I agree that the tendency to offend no one has been taken to extremes. On the other hand some people use their dislike of political correctness to be downright rude.

ABORTION ON DEMAND.
No. Pro choice. There is a huge difference. I have a feeling you know that. Very few here do.

FREE NEEDLE EXCHANGE
I rarely think about this. I guess the idea is if addicts don't reuse needles there will be less HIV, hepatitis and other diseases.. Seems like a benefit to society to me.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
It is definitely not a perfect solution, but convince me it isn't needed.

NON MERIT BASED ADVANCEMENT.
Who decides if there is merit? What right of appeal does the worker have? Can you guarantee that management will evaluate the worker objectively?
Also if a person does a competent job, they should get a raise periodically.

GUN FREE SOCIETY
Personally I am for a gun free society. But if I were king of the United States, I would only insist on tough background checks, a ban on assault weapons, and a national registry of persons who should not have guns. This would include persons with a criminal history, persons with mental issues, etc

TAXES UP THE YAZOO.
It's wazoo not yazoo. The proof of that is that yazoo show up with a red underline as a misspelling; wazoo does not.

These guys are always crying about taxes. In the forties, fifties and sixties, taxes were really up the wazoo-90% for the top brackets. Yet we did OK. In fact we did great. I'm not proposing that but 50% for the very top bracket makes sense.

I think it's important to make the distinction between liberals and far left progressives.

You didn't mention dissolving free speech rights and abolishing the 10th amendment. Also, sending billions of dollars a year to third world hell holes in the name of climate change.

It's not about the spelling. It is that there is no such word as yazoo, except in Jimmyb's mind. Nobody says yazoo; everybody says wazoo,

But, go ahead, keep bringing up Possessor. It's all you've got.
You found a typo.

Yazoo was the name of a small Indian tribe and Yazoo River is said to mean river of death. So yes, you and your like would love to tax us up the river of death.
