I was there that day. I can usually remember who I bet in really big races like that, but I can't for this one. All I remember is that Prized wasn't on any of my tickets. I thought he was a terrific horse, but I tossed him on grass.

It's even money I still have that set of PPs wrapped up in plastic in my garage. If I had the time and inclination for look for them, I could probably figure out who I played from my notes.

It seems that U.S. trainers are finally letting go of the fear of turf that's been prevalent for 25-30 years. WWW is my favorite horse so far this year (see my avatar as to why). He's not a top three year old but maybe with this confidence booster in the Manila Stakes he can move forward. At this point I'd rather see him have a long career instead of being just another three year old who gets burned out chasing G1 wins on dirt.
